COVID - ALBANY LAW PATHWAY PROGRAM-LSAT PREP FLEX - Target Date November 14, 2020
Let's prepare and be safe and smart about it. While meeting in person may remain out of reach for the moment, thoughtful remote preparation combined with individualized interaction has, judging by our results from the May and June LSAT FLEX tests, proven very effective. Here's how it works:
Beginning Saturday, August 24, 2020 the first of twenty-four, 90 minute instructional class sessions will be streamed live to wherever you happen to be (recordings of the video will also be available on demand). Logical Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, and Reading Comprehension will all be covered in granular detail. Virtual class sessions are streamed live on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The final session will be broadcast on the weekend of November 7th and 8th.

Our recently added "On-Deck" series provides you with the roadmap to success on the LSAT. Over 500 logical reasoning questions are explained in granular detail. It is here where you learn how lawyers break down arguments by using the IRAC (Issue-Rule-Application-Conclusion) method. It is here where you begin the journey of changing the way you read.

Imagine having over 11 years of material provided with coherent explanations at your fingertips! Welcome to our Analytical Library. We believe analytical reasoning to be, far and away, the most learnable section on the LSAT. There are no "games" and formal logic plays a negligible role in solving. Join us and approach this section by utilizing lawyering skills; learn how to organize, then how to manage what has been organized, and finally solve once you are in a position to manage.
READING COMPREHENSION - Previously recorded material
Success on Reading Comprehension depends on your ability AND your exam plan. You will be required to read on a law school level, something that may, or may not, have been required of you in college or professional life. We discuss the strategy of developing a superior exam plan. We explore as well different tactics, e.g. reading the questions first, scanning the passage before diving in, passage selection order, which passages are likely to be approachable, etc.

WEEKLY INDIVIDUAL 30 MINUTE PHONE CONSULTATION
You may schedule a weekly 30 minute telephone/Zoom session each week. This is your time. You supply the agenda and we go over what you want to cover. You will select a day of the week and time of day, we will schedule that time block as yours, and for the duration of the 12 week course you will be working one-on-one with Peter Gormanly, Esq., our company founder.
INTRODUCTION TO LEGAL WRITING - LAW SCHOOL STYLE
Albany Law School Professor Keith Hirokawa introduces you to the art of legal writing. The writing style expected of law school students is not what undergraduate students are accustomed to. Law School writing is based on the IRAC method (Issue-Rule-Analysis/Application-Conclusion) and Professor Hirokawa escorts you through the ins and outs of this generally unfamiliar approach. Over the course of this twelve hour seminar, you will learn how to write like a law school student in advance of becoming a 1L!

Candidates who complete the Focus Approach Program (including the 12 hour legal writing component), submit a timely and complete J.D. application, satisfy all character and fitness requirements, are admitted to, and enroll at Albany Law School, will receive complete reimbursement of the program’s cost.
Applicants who, in addition to successfully meeting the above conditions, meet or exceed the median LSAT and GPA for the prior year’s entering class, will receive a guaranteed offer of admission.
